Onboarding

The first ten minutes decide whether new hires finish week one

A new hire decides whether they trust their employer in the first ten minutes of day one. Onboarding content is part of that decision. Treat it accordingly.

The three interactions we always include

  1. Meet your team — clickable. Hover or tap each face, see name, role, and one thing they're great at. Replaces the awkward email list.
  2. "Where do I…" search box. Quick answers to the 20 most-asked first-week questions (laptop, payroll, benefits, holiday). It's a course module, but it behaves like a help centre.
  3. Day-one mission. A single concrete task to complete by 5pm — sets the rhythm. Not "watch this course."

What good doesn't include

Mandatory compliance modules. They belong in week two. Day one is for trust and orientation. Hit them with annual training when they have a desk and a colleague.
